Just Be...

Joanne Sharpe has her first book coming out and I had ordered it but it was delayed as were many of her other "color lovelies" orders, so she put up a challenge to do while we wait.   Here is my Just Be artwork...

It is 6x6 and I cannot wait to mount it and get it on my wall.

Wow, time flies!!!

It has been quite awhile...I do have a good excuse though!!  I went to visit my Mom in California and while I was there (thank goodness!!) she got really sick and ended up in the hospital...she scared me to death!!  All is well and she is improving everyday.  I am back home and trying to get caught up.  We had a big event at church the day after I arrived home so it was go go go for awhile:)  While in California I was able to attend the Create Mixed Media Retreat and I took 4 amazing classes......so much fun and boy did I need the break:)  I took a class with Joanne Sharpe...love her...it was painting on fabric and then free motion stitching the designs....can I just say it is addictive!!!!  Here are some of the pieces I made...

 

I need to stitch down the binding on this one and free motion stitch the one below. 

 

 I will post about my other classes later.
