Wow, time flies!!!

It has been quite awhile...I do have a good excuse though!!  I went to visit my Mom in California and while I was there (thank goodness!!) she got really sick and ended up in the hospital...she scared me to death!!  All is well and she is improving everyday.  I am back home and trying to get caught up.  We had a big event at church the day after I arrived home so it was go go go for awhile:)  While in California I was able to attend the Create Mixed Media Retreat and I took 4 amazing classes......so much fun and boy did I need the break:)  I took a class with Joanne Sharpe...love her...it was painting on fabric and then free motion stitching the designs....can I just say it is addictive!!!!  Here are some of the pieces I made...

 

I need to stitch down the binding on this one and free motion stitch the one below.

Jumping into Water......color

I have been playing a bit with my watercolors and here are some of the pieces I have done.


This first one is my interpretation of a picture I saw online.
 

The next four are ones I did after watching Jane LaFazio's video from Interweave.  I did the pear while watching the video.  She is a great teacher!!

 

 

 

These next ones are using what I learned from Martha Lever's Color Drops Flowers Online Class.

 I have not decided if I want to add the black sketching to this one or not.

Tracy Weinzapfel's April 2013 Creative Dare - FIVE WORDS

Tracy does Mixed Media Monday's and has started doing a monthly dare..this month was "Five Words"  I kept putting it off and finally while watching her yesterday I finally got to work.  Here is my entry. 

I used Faber Castell Gelatos, old book paper and my words were printed from my computer.  I love sunflowers and this just makes me smile:)

Cry Babies

I saw these Mo Manning's Cry Babies Digital Stamps and just had to have them.  Here are the cards I made using them.  I colored them with my Copic markers.  

 

I also could not resist "A Big Whoop" digital stamp  I made this card for one of my Awana Clubbers who had surgery and could not come for a few weeks.  This card is welcoming her back...we missed her precious little self:)

Happy Belated Easter!

I had every intention to get this posted before at least on Easter!!!  Well as you can tell I am late...late...late....
I hope you had a wonderful Easter.  Mine was great!!! I attended a wonderful Good Friday Service, a Passover Dinner on Saturday and then a beautiful Easter service on Sunday.  I was basking in the glory of our Risen King:)  

Here is an Easter watercolor I did ....I have been taking a Pocket Sketching DVD class by Kath Macaulay

It is a great class and she is a wonderful teacher.
